Frequently Asked Questions

Do You Have a Payment Plan?

Of course we have a convenient family payment plan. We understand that dividing up the cost of a piece may help our clients acquire a piece they desire.

Generally, our payment plan begins with a deposit of 1/3 of the price plus estimated shipping cost for your chosen piece. We prefer to receive monthly payments so that the piece is paid off and ready to deliver to you at the end of six months (or sooner, if possible).

We reserve the option to refund everything you have paid if your payments stop, and return the piece to our inventory. However, if your circumstances change we will be happy to discuss and accommodate a revised payment schedule.

We email or snail-mail monthly reminders. We can also put you on an automatic payment schedule.

Do You Pack and Ship?

Box packed, labeled and almost ready to go

We pack in-house, double box, fully insure every package and ship via UPS. We wrap your piece in a plastic bag first, then carefully bubble wrap until the piece disappears in the wrap. We put the bubble-wrap ball into a box with enough styrofoam peanuts (for Canada we use paper peanuts) to prevent motion in the box. We use one inner box per piece.

To the top of that inner box we attach an envelope containing the receipts, a printout describing the pot inside, any information we have concerning the pueblo that artist is from and any biographical information we have about the artist. If the piece is particularly fragile, we may also add instructions on how to unwrap it safely.

Then we put that interior box into an exterior box at least 4 inches larger in all three dimensions (12x12x12 goes into 16x16x16) and add more styrofoam peanuts to prevent motion of the inner box.

We strive to do the best packing job we can to ensure your purchase arrives safely.

If damage occurs in transit, please keep all the packing materials as UPS will not honor any claim where they cannot collect everything that came as part of the shipment.

In order to protect our environment, please either re-use the styrofoam peanuts or take them to a UPS/Fedex/packing store of your choice.

Just one of many testimonials:

The tiles arrived today, safe and sound. They are beautiful and have definitely found a home. Thank you so much for your help. I was quite impressed with the packaging – unless a truck rolled over the box, it was going to get those tiles here in one piece!” — Peggy
