The Creative Commons organization created Creative Commons Licensing as a form of "copy-left" ownership and attribution for various forms of intellectual property. Anyone can use anything published under a Creative Commons License for any purpose that is allowed by the particular version of the license being granted, provided they also include the particular form of attribution required by the license.
