Loretto, Anthony

Born in August, 1969, Anthony Loretto is a potter from Jemez Pueblo. He is the son of Angela Loretto, grandson of Carmelito and Emilia Loretto. As he learned how to make pottery from his mother and grandmother, Anthony also makes horses, birds, canoes, warriors and other figures. One of his favorites is the warrior-in-a-canoe theme. He also makes Santa Claus figures and storytellers.
