Garcia, Beverly

Beverly Garcia (Victorino) of Acoma Pueblo is the daughter of Fred and Florence Waconda, granddaughter of Lupe Concho. Loretta Joe is her sister, Dylene Victorino is her daughter.

Beverly started making pottery when she was about seven years old and makes mostly traditional jars, bowls and wedding vases, usually decorating them with traditional Acoma bird, plant and geometric designs. She taught her stepdaughters, Katherine, Charlene and Roxanne Victorino how to make pottery, too. She signs her pieces usually either B. Garcia or B. Victorino.
