Loretto, Caroline
Born in 1953, Caroline Grace Loretto is a potter from Jemez Pueblo. Caroline’s grandmother was Acoma potter Lupe Aragon. Along with her sister, Geraldine Sandia, she learned how to make pottery from her mother, Cecilia Loretto as she was growing up at Jemez. Her first pieces entered the marketplace when she was about 13 years old.
Caroline is most known for her intricate painting and etching, and fine polish.
