Loya, Claudia Ledezma

Claudia Ledezma Loya is a second generation potter from the village of Mata Ortiz in northern Mexico. Her parents are Rosa Loya and Santos Ledezma.

Claudia’s husband, Luis Rodriguez, is also a second generation potter from Mata Ortiz. Sometimes they collaborate, sometimes they don’t. Most of their work, though, is decorated with Paquimé Revival motifs.

Claudia earned a First Place prize at the 2017 Concurso Ceramica de Mata Ortiz for some of her sgraffito work.
