Polacca, Clinton
Clinton Polacca Nampeyo (1958-2022) was the son of Harold Polacca and Alice (a Pima woman). He was a descendant of Nampeyo of Hano and a member of the Hopi-Tewa Kachina clan. Like his siblings, Vernida, Clement, Diana, Harold Jr., Reva and Marvin, he learned how to make pottery by watching and working with their grandmother, Fannie Polacca Nampeyo, as he was growing up.
Like his grandmother, Clinton liked to make Sikyátki-Revival shapes, then decorate them with the black and red migration patterns and other ancient designs she taught him.
