Quintana, Dagoberto

Dagoberto Bert Quintana learned how to make pottery from Nicolas Quezada, and his early pieces really showed that. He was a graduate of the Mormon high school in Colonia Juarez. He also worked as a disc jockey in Nuevo Casas Grandes before he got into politics.

Beginning in 2007, Dagoberto served for a few years as the mayor of Casas Grandes Municipality. He made pottery on the side. His vessels and his designs were still very similar to what he had learned from Nicolas. He didn’t make a lot of pottery as his political activities kept him pretty busy.
