Tenorio, Delmar

Delmar Tenorio is a potter from Santo Domingo Pueblo. He’s married to painter Trini Pena and they collaborate on nearly everything they do. However, Delmar has been a wildland firefighter for the US Forest Service for years and is only makes pottery when he’s not off to fight the fires.

When Delmar is home, he likes to make large traditional Santo Domingo jars, bowls and plates and paint them in bold black and red designs.
