Waconda, Elizabeth
A member of the Acoma Pueblo Roadrunner clan, Elizabeth Waconda was born in 1925 and passed on in 2007. She and her sister, Eva Histia, learned how to make pottery from their mother as they were growing up.
Elizabeth was known for her polychrome canteens, jars and seed pots. According to Dr. Gregory Schaaf, some of her work is in the collection of the Peabody-Essex Museum of Harvard College.
