Rodriguez, Emiliano

Emiliano Rodriguez Loya is a potter from the village of Mata Ortiz in Chihuahua, Mexico. He learned how to make pottery by watching and working with his mother, Diana Loya, and father, Alfredo Rodriguez, as he was growing up.

Emiliano mostly creates sgraffito Aztec-derived designs and Day/Night of the Dead designs on black and white jars.
