Marcus, Eric

Eric Marcus is the nephew of Taos Pueblo potter Angie Yazzie. She’s been teaching him how to work with micaceous clay and he began by making utilitarian ware, cups with handles in particular.

Taos and Picuris Pueblos were known historically for their micaceous pottery. Eric is one more generation picking up the tools, techniques, knowledge and experience of his parents and his ancestors and carrying it forward into the future.
