Veloz, Fabiola

Fabiola Veloz Saenz is a potter from the extensive Veloz and Saenz families of potters in the village of Mata Ortiz in northern Mexico. In 2012, her husband, Javier Mendoza Luis Valdez, was the mayor of Casas Grandes.

Fabiola mostly makes polychrome jars and decorates them with sgraffito and painted hummingbirds and flowers surrounded by bands of geometric designs.
