Gachupin, Gloria
Gloria Gachupin Chinana was the sister of Helen Gachupin. They were both participants in the 1979 “One Space, Three Visions” exhibit at the Albuquerque Museum.
Gloria was a traditional Jemez Pueblo potter making jars, ollas and bowls. Her favorite designs to decorate them with included plants, rainbows, clouds and roadrunners. She developed some very distinctive roadrunners. She has also been known to collaborate with Maxine Toya in making nacimientos (nativities).
