Naranjo, Howard and Linda

Howard Naranjo (Santa Clara) is the son of Nicolasa Naranjo and grandson of Tomasita Tafoya (Ohkay Owingeh) and Agapita Naranjo. His great-grandmother was Sara Fina Tafoya. He learned how to make, paint and carve pottery as he was growing up, mostly through watching and working with his mother but he also got input from a lot of other potters on the family tree.

Linda Naranjo learned how to make pottery from Howard, after she married him. They have collaborated together ever since, making carved or painted red or black wares.
