Yepa, Ida

Born into the Toya family of Jemez Pueblo in April 1951, Ida Yepa is the sister of Lorraine Chinana and Georgia Vigil. Like them, she learned how to make pottery from watching and working with their grandmother, Reyes Shendo Toya. Ida, in turn, taught her award-earning daughter, Emma Yepa, how to make pottery, too.
