Million, JoAnn

Born in 1938, JoAnn Million is a potter from Santa Clara Pueblo. She learned how to make pottery through watching and working with her mother, Katherine Gutierrez. She mostly made turtles and other animal figures and miniatures. She was most known for the exquisite intricate detail of her sgraffito designs. Among her siblings was Denny Gutierrez, a noted maker of faceted and lidded black jars.
