Aguilar, Jose Victor

Born into San Ildefonso Pueblo in 1945, Jose Victor Aguilar was the son of Jose and Rosalie Aguilar. He grew up in a pottery-making household and learned the basics as he aged.

Jose seems to mostly make figurative pottery and he’s earned a few awards for it at the Santa Fe Indian Market. He often signs his pieces Yellowbird, in honor of his father.
