Cheromiah, Josephita
Josephita Cheromiah was one of Evelyn Cheromiah‘s daughters. She learned how to make pottery when she took part in the Laguna Pueblo Arts & Crafts Project that her mother taught on the pueblo in 1974 (Evelyn required all her daughters to participate in the first class she taught, funding for the classes ran out after the second class was finished).
Josephita made traditional polychrome Laguna-style jars and bowls. Some of her work is included in the Wright Collection at the Peabody Essex Museum of Harvard University.
