Garcia, Kimberly

Kimberly Garcia was born into Santa Clara Pueblo in 1978. As her father was from Ohkay Owingeh, her heritage is 1/2 Santa Clara and 1/2 Ohkay Owingeh. Her mother was Ethel Vigil, her grandmother Mida Tafoya. Both were excellent potters so Kimberly was exposed to the process of making pottery as she grew up.

When she finally got interested, though, she was an adult. So she asked her aunts, Sherry Tafoya and Sharon Naranjo Garcia, to mentor her.
