Manygoats, Larrisena

Dineh potter Larrisena Manygoats is the daughter of Elizabeth Manygoats. She learned how to make pottery the ages-old way: by watching her mother and grandmother, Betty Manygoats, as they made pottery.

Larrisena developed a style similar to theirs but a bit more traditional: she seems to prefer making jars with rope biyo’s and such. Her clay mix and her firing technique, though, are very much like her mother’s and grandmother’s.
