Ponce, Lazaro

Lazaro Ponce is a potter from the village of Mata Ortiz in northern Mexico. Like his brother, Humberto Ponce, Lazaro’s design work usually revolves around geometric patterns made in the cuadrillo (opatterns built up on a checkerboard background checkerboard) format.
