Denetchee, Lenore

Lenore Denetchee counts herself a fourth-generation silversmith and jeweler. She is the third generation of her family to make their living under the portal at the Palace of the Governors in Santa Fe. She is an enrolled member of Laguna Pueblo and is of partial Zuni heritage.

Lenore sometimes makes pottery with her husband, Noel Denetchee. They usually make small black-on-black jars and bowls, decorating them with traditional geometric designs.
