Betancourt, Linda

Linda Betancourt is an award-earning potter from the village of Mata Ortiz in northern Mexico. She has earned several ribbons for her pottery at the annual Concurso Ceramica de Mata Ortiz. She seems to mostly make polychrome jars decorated with contemporary sgraffito-and-painted bird, butterfly, flower and branch designs.
