Vargas, Luis

Luis Vargas is a potter from the Mata Ortiz area in northern Mexico. He usually collaborates with his wife, Elisa Ortiz. They use a lot of Ramos Polychrome anthropomorphs and geometric designs on their pieces. They also work a lot with mezclado (mixed) clay.
