Martinez, Luiz

Luiz Martinez is a potter from the village of Mata Ortiz in northern Mexico. There’s not much information available about him but he was married to potter Nancy Heras and collaborated with her often. However, she passed away in 2016. She liked to make and paint figures where he seems to prefer making and painting polychrome jars. He also seems to enjoy painting Mogollon-Mimbres rabbits on a lot of his pieces.
