Mora, Lupita

Lupita Mora is a potter living and working in the Mata Ortiz area of northern Mexico. She’s the daughter of Porfilio Pilo Mora. As one of the earliest potters in Mata Ortiz, Pilo prefers to paint decorations based on designs from ancient Paquimé. Lupita’s trademark design element is the butterfly, and she sometimes likes to airbrush them.
