Lopez, Maribel

From the village of Mata Ortiz in northern Mexico, Maribel Lopez is the older sister of Oralia, Rosalba and Yesenia Lopez. Her parents were Jesus Guillen and Uriel Lopez. She learned how to make pottery from her mother and her uncle, Leonel Lopez Sr. (Saenz).

Maribel mostly paints designs with lots of birds or butterflies in them. Sometimes all there are are birds or butterflies.
