Gonzales, Marie

Marie Gonzales-Kailahi is a potter from San Ildefonso Pueblo. Like her brother, Johnnie “Tse Pe” Gonzales, she learned to make pottery through watching and working with their mother, Rose Gonzales.

Marie was a regular participant in the Santa Fe Indian Market for years, earning her first ribbon there in 1984. She also participated in the Gallup InterTribal Ceremonials and the Eight Northern Indian Pueblos Arts & Crafts Show. She often collaborated with her husband, James.
