Corona, Martin

Martin Corona is a potter from the area of the village of Mata Ortiz in northern Mexico. He likes to do sgraffito black-and-white and red-and-white versions of Day and Night of the Dead motifs in places other than a cemetery (like the Farmer’s Market). He also likes to make small, lidded jars with custom stands and decorate them with very fine sgraffito and paint work.
