Naranjo, Mary Edna

Mary Edna Naranjo was born into Cochiti Pueblo in March, 1965, the daughter of Louis and Virginia Naranjo. Among her siblings is Pauline Naranjo. They were all exposed to every aspect of the making of pottery as they were growing up, especially after Virginia suffered her stroke.

Mary Edna has been active as a potter since about 1975. She is known for her polychrome jars, bowls and figures. She signed some of her pottery as Mary Edna Naranjo, some as Edna Naranjo and some as Mary Edna Trujillo.
