Quezada, Matilda

Matilde Olivas de Quezada is a potter from the village of Mata Ortiz in northern Mexico. She is married to Hilario Quezada Sr. and they have a son, Hilario Quezada Jr. Matilde seems to enjoy painting geometric designs in matte black on pots she’s going to fire glossy black.
