Navasie, Maynard

Born in 1945, Maynard Navasie was one of the sons of Hopi-Tewa potter Joy Navasie, aka Second Frogwoman. Paqua Naha, First Frogwoman, was his grandmother. Veronica Navasie was his wife. He and Veronica collaborated on almost every piece of pottery they made. They made mostly whiteware jars decorated with red and black designs. Their favorite designs incorporated parrot and feather motifs.

Maynard passed on in 1999, Veronica in 2003.
