Quezada, Mireya

Mireya Quezada is the second of the daughters of Juan Quezada Sr. and Guillermina Celado de Quezada from the village of Mata Ortiz in northern Mexico. She grew up in a pottery making household and was exposed to every aspect of the process almost since birth. She learned how to make pottery directly from her father and the quality of her pieces shows that. Throughout her career she also stayed with the shapes and designs she learned from her father.
