Daniels, Myra

Myra Daniels was a Hopi potter born in 1910. She produced mostly large, shallow polychrome bowls that she decorated with Sikyátki-Revival bird element and geometric designs. Among her most often used designs was the bird-hanging-from-sky-band motif. She was an active potter from about 1945 until she passed on in 1975.

Other than the fact that at least one of her pieces is in the permanent collection of the National Museum of the American Indian little else is recorded about her.
