Quezada, Oscar Gonzales Jr
Oscar Gonzales Quezada Jr. is a potter from the village of Mata Ortiz in northern Mexico. He’s the son of Oscar Corona Quezada and grandson of Consolacion Quezada. He probably learned how to make pottery through watching and working with his father and his grandmother. However, his design vocabulary is different from both.
Oscar seems to mostly paint Paquimé Revival designs in the Porvenir fashion and cover an entire piece with design. He also seems to like mixed clays for his base pot.
