Leno, Phyllis

Born into Acoma Pueblo in November 1943, Phyllis Leno is the daughter of Juana Leno. Like her sisters, Marie, Rose, Joyce, Regina and Isabel, she learned how to make pottery from their mother.

Phyllis has been active in the marketplace since about 1975. She prefers to make traditional polychrome jars, bowls, owls and other animal figures, and miniatures.
