Folwell, Polly Rose
Polly Rose Folwell was born into Santa Clara Pueblo in December 1962. Her mother is Jody Folwell, her grandmother Rose Naranjo. She grew up in a household that produced a lot of pottery, and a lot of innovation with that pottery. Like her siblings, Susan Folwell and Paul Folwell, Polly Rose learned to make pottery almost through osmosis. Her daughter, Jody Sue Folwell Lazaro (Kaa) grew up in a very similar atmosphere and now paints and makes pottery.
Polly Rose was a participant in the Santa Fe Indian Market as a teenager and has earned numerous awards there and at the Heard Museum since.
