Shutiva, Regina Leno

Regina Leno-Shutiva was born into Acoma Pueblo in September 1955. She was the daughter of Thomas and Juana Leno. Among her siblings were Marie Leno, Rose Leno-Chavez, Phyllis Leno, Isabel Leno and Joyce Leno-Barreras. They all learned how to make pottery through watching and working their mother as they were growing up.

Regina primarily made traditional polychrome and black-on-white bowls and jars. Her pieces usually had a red base with repeated bands of geometric designs around the white body.
