Cosen, Reycita
Reycita Cosen was born into Santa Clara Pueblo in 1927. Her mother was Pasqualita Baca, her father an Apache man. Her maternal grandparents were Santana Tafoya Gutierrez and Juan José Gutierrez, in-laws of Sarafina Tafoya. Reycita was born into a pottery making family and was exposed to all aspects of it as she was growing up, and after.
Reycita was most known for her intricately carved black bowls, jars and wedding vases. She earned numerous awards for them at Santa Fe Indian Market.
Reycita passed on in 2012.
