Loya, Rosa

Rosa Isela Loya Jacquez de Ledezma is a potter from the village of Mata Ortiz in northern Mexico. She and her husband, Santos Ledezma, often collaborate on their pieces. Rosa usually does the painting. Her designs are based on cuadrillos: small checkboard patterns that allow large complex geometric designs to be built of simple repetitive patterns.

Leticia Ledezma is their daughter.
