Fragua, Rose

Rose T. Fragua was a traditional potter from Jemez Pueblo. Her parents were Grace and Felix Fragua. Among her siblings were Bonnie Fragua, Carol Fragua Gachupin, Clifford Kim Fragua, Felicia Fragua and Emily Fragua Tsosie.

Rose was born in 1942, appeared in the marketplace in the early 1960s, and passed on in 2012. She grew up in a multi-generational pottery-making family and it showed. She liked to make very unique storyteller and Corn Maiden figurines.
