Sun Rhodes, Rose Pecos
Born in an Albuquerque hospital in 1956, Rose Pecos-Sun Rhodes is a potter from Jemez Pueblo. The daughter of Jose Pecos and Carol (Toledo) Pecos, like her siblings, Irwin, Jackie and Stephanie, she learned to make pottery from her mother as she was growing up.
Carol was most known for her award-winning storytellers, figures and nativity sets. Rose is most known for her figurative pottery and her miniatures. She was an exhibitor at the Santa Fe Indian Market and Heard Museum Guild Indian Arts Fair & Market for years, winning multiple First, Second and Third Place ribbons.
