Tafoya, Rose

Rose Tafoya was a potter from Santa Clara Pueblo. She learned how to make pottery from her mother, Lucaria Tafoya, and she passed that knowledge on to her daughter, Clarissa Tafoya.

Like her mother, Rose usually made black wedding vases, bowls and jars, often deep-carving them with avanyu or geometric designs.
