Him, Rowena
From Zuni Pueblo, Rowena Him was the wife of Randy Nahohai, daughter-in-law of Josephine Nahohai. She is also the mother of Josh, Alec and Jaycee Nahohai.
Rowena made the trip to Washington DC in 1986 with Josephine, Randy and Milford. They went to demonstrate pottery making at the Folk Life Festival on the Capitol Mall and to study prehistoric Zuni pottery at the Museum of Natural History and at the Smithsonian Institute.
Rowena mostly made polychrome jars and bowls, owls, duck canteens and figures of bears with heart lines. She also made jewelry and did beadwork. Her favorite designs included scrolls, feathers, rainbirds and cloud forms.
