Trujillo, Rufina

Rufina Trujillo (1936-2007) was a potter from Acoma Pueblo who married a man from Cochiti Pueblo and moved to his home there. At Cochiti she was granted permission to use Cochiti clay and she became known for her polychrome storytellers. But she doesn’t seem to have made many of them as she wasn’t at all prolific.
