Nash, Sandra

Sandra Dawangumptewa Nash is a Hopi potter from the village of Walpi. She’s a member of the Walpi Tobacco Clan. She signs her pieces “S Nash Hopi Walpi” with a silhouette of a smoking pipe (a hallmark of Tobacco clan members). She made what is possibly the only Hopi owl effigy ever made (she made it to satisfy a commission).
