Phillips, Santana

Santana Phillips is a potter from Acoma Pueblo. Born in 1950, it is said she learned from her mother, Juana. She first appeared in the marketplace in the early 1970s and she made pottery for more than 50 years. Her favorite design was the starburst (a fine line pattern) but she also painted lots of Acoma parrots with rainbows, branches and flowers.
