Silveira, Saul

From the village of Mata Ortiz in northern Mexico, Saul Silveira is the younger brother of Lila Silveira. Saul learned how to make pottery from their parents, José Silveira and Socorro Sandoval, while Lila learned directly from Juan Quezada Sr. Lila’s design work has had a large influence on Saul’s.

Saul tends to sign his pieces using “Saul Silbeira” as his name. He is the only member of the family who does that.
