Patricio, Stephanie

Born in 1970, Stephanie Patricio is the older sister of noted Acoma Pueblo potter Robert Patricio. She, too, grew up watching everyone in the family around her making pottery. That’s how the process was taught for hundreds of years: simply sit and watch and learn from the elders.

Stephanie seems to make mostly polychrome jars and bowls, decorating them with multi-panel geometric designs.
